Construct a sheet pile retaining wall with walers and helical tie-backs.
summary of the project
During a 3-week full road closure, a 405’ sheet pile wall was driven utilizing 2 cranes. One crane was used to thread the sheets the other was used to plumb and drive the sheets. Following the full road closure, the remaining tie-backs and coping were placed on the wall under traffic control. The retaining wall was needed to shore up Hwy 97 from eroding down the slope over the Dismal River. Kea Constructors along with its partner Perrett Construction teamed up to beat the tight time constraints for completion.
